02-Chapter 9
Family togetherness is very important to me. If you don’t understand that by now, then you will never understand it. When I see someone in my family achieving a milestone in their life, or preparing to climb over the next hurdle, I try to solidify our family unit by doing something that we all enjoy.
And with Mina’s imminent departure to university coming tomorrow, I thought it would be a great idea for us to have a little musical jam session. Mina is filled with nervous energy at this moment of transition. Whatever I can do to help ease her through, I will do.
My first born is heading off to college … and I feel as if a wound within me that has never fully healed is being ripped open once again. i feel like my little chick is leaving the nest, never to return. I know it’s silly, ridiculous and very non-masculine for me to feel weepy over this … but this is my baby!
My baby is heading off on her own … and leaving her old dad behind.
I feel as though it’s the end of an era …

YAY!!! Elementals!! I can’t get over how beautiful the girls are. Of course with a daddy like Hydrogen ::drools:: I love the Elemental family band! How great! It looks like Mina is set to do well in college. Should be fun.

Poor Xavier~ he just wants to get to know Mina and she seems to want nothing to do with the local boys.

That was a sweet update. I hope he doesn’t get too sad over his children growing up.
