02-Chapter 2 - The Toddler Zone

Although, I can’t say that I’m happy about the consequences of potty training. Naturally (she is MY daughter after all), she became fascinated with the process, wanted to find out how it all worked. I’m very certain that there are better ways to find out.

MINA! NO!!

In the meantime, Shenene thought it would be a good idea to work off all of the post pregnancy pounds. I, personally, think she was just being silly. She’s always been beautiful and she’ll always be beautiful. Though, I suppose I am a bit biased.

:O)

Learning is not as easy as it seems. I should know! And I shamefully admit that we wore my poor baby out with all of the things we were trying to teach her. I wanted her to have every advantage, advantages that would make her life more simple in the long run.

She’s so angelic when she sleeps.

I love to watch her in these moments. Since I spend a good chunk of my day at work, I get jealous of Shenene and all the time she gets to spend with our daughter (maternity leave).

But one of us has to work. If not me, then it would be Shenene … and she’d probably be jealous of me.

  2. Oh man! Poor Hydro. He is so not a bad father! He’s actually an excellent father to be so concerned with missing all those precious moments! I hope things get better for him when Mina turns into a child. You know girls seem to manage to find a way to be “Daddy’s little girl”.

  3. *sniff sniff* Hydro is being too hard on himself. I’m sure there will be plenty of time for him to
skill build with Mina. Before he knows it he’ll be teaching her how to putt! :0))

  4. Oh, poor Hydro! He isn’t a bad father! It is just one of those things that mom’s have a head start on. I’m sure he will be there to teach Mina all the skills she needs for college.

  5. All I have to say is that I’m crossing my fingers that when Mina turns into a child, she rushes outside to hug Hydro when he gets home from work. :-) Maybe then he’ll believe he’s not a bad father and that his daughter simply appreciates the time she does get with him.

  6. Awww, I agree with everyone else, Hydro isn’t a bad father! He loves his little girl and always wants the best for her. Any little girl should be so lucky to have him as a daddy. =)

  7. Well this chapter certainly has spun a different view for me. I never thought guys would think that way… Hydro is such a good man to care about these little things most of us would probably wouldn’t think much into.

  8. What a cute toddler she is! And soon big enough to tell her dad she loves him even if he can’t spend so much time with her as he’d like.
